FINAL CONFERENCE, HANOI UNIVERSITY-(24-28 September 2018)

The final conference of the Voyage Project took place in Hanoi at HANU University on September 2018. The conference saw the participation of the whole project consortium and of many participants from organization interested in the project.

DISSEMINATION MEETING AND SUSTAINABILITY PLAN SIGNATURE CEREMONY-Padua University, April 9-14, 2018

The University of Padua hosted the Voyage Consortium Meeting on April 9-14, 2018. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Vietnam International Education Development of the Ministry of Education (Mr. Nguyen Thi Thu) by the Rectors of the partner universities of HANU, NUAE and PTIT and HIZA Director, by the delegates from the European Universities of Barcelona, Minho, by AlmaLaurea, Padua institutional representatives and by project team.

The meeting was the occasion to provide and insight on the education system in Vietnam and the opportunities given by the Voyage Project, also thanks to a roundtable on the topic attended by Confindustria representatives and the Unioncamere Emilia Romagna UCER, as associated partner to the project.

 The Final report on Voyage Platform assessment with stakeholders was presented as well as the  Report on Monitoring tools for demand supply matching and employability in Vietnam and Europe. The first report summarizes the results of the Pilot evaluation of the VOYAGE platform; the assessment activities have been carried out through the delivery of ad hoc questionnaire to the target groups –students and companies registered in the Voyage Platform- and to focus groups aimed at improve the results from the questionnaire with suggestions and recommendation related to platform tune up. The second report collects the best practices for enhancing university-labour market matching, graduates employability in Vietnam and internship promotion, by collecting the replies of about 20 vietnamese companies and the best practices in place in the European universities partner of Voyage Project.

In its second day, the meeting saw an official moment in the Signature of the Voyage Sustainability Plan. 

The Plan details  the  Future Perspectives of Sustainability of the VOYAGE system, the Project Consortium Decision for platform maintenance and functioning beyond project completion, the Distribution of tasks according to Consortium Member, Sustainability Strategy of the Voyage Consortium, the Simulation of Sustainability Budget of VOYAGE Consortium, the Contribution of the 561656 Project European Partners to Voyage Project Sustainability.

 Also, the ceremony saw the Signature of the Memorandum of Understanding Vietnamese Universities-University of Padua.

VOYAGE RESEARCHERS TRAINING (FOLLOW UP) AND PROJECT MEETING IN BOLOGNA

The Voyage Project Research meeting took place in Bologna at AlmaLaurea, from December 11-15, 2017. The meeting, dedicated in particular to Vietnamese partners, aimed at discuss  the preliminary results of  the pilot survey about Graduands and Graduates delivered from the 3 universities (HANU, NUAE, PTIT) and at re-train the researcher on the main steps to be followed in order to deliver the final survey.  Researchers from the 3 universities (2-3 people for each university) presented the report and main discussion opened on the main issue related to survey delivery : sample to be chosen, data matching, exclusion criteria, graphical presentation, structure of the written report crfitical points and suggestions for next survey. The impact of the report at national level on the main stakeholders (Universities, Ministry of Education, Quality Assurance Agencies, Students and Families) was underlined. 

The MANAGEMENT MEETING that followed was intended to cover all technical aspects related to the Project, to assess the project state of art according to WPs and deliverables, including the financial issues as well as the definition of the sustainability plan. 

In the third day of the meeting, an Official Meeting with the University of Bologna took place:  the Vietnamese delegation was invited by the International Relations Office of University of Bologna for a discussion regarding further cooperation between the University of Bologna and the Vietnamese Universities, part of VOYAGE Project.

-Quality Assurance Analysis (Voyage Questionnaire and European ENQA standard; Voyage Questionnaire, ENQA and Vietnamese Standards on Higher Education Quality Assessment -HEQA)

 

Dissemination event and Project meeting at NUAE, Hanoi, Vietnam, 23-27 October 2017

From 23 to 27 October 2017 took place at National University of Art Education, Hanoi, Vietnam the Voyage Project Conference Opportunities for the young and graduates employability in Vietnam”. The main topics of the five days meetings were the dissemination of the Project, the involvement of new stakeholders and meetings “face to face” between Vietnamese enterprises and universities.

The first meeting day was extremely significant, interesting and fruitful thanks to the participaction of very important public actors. Among those who delivered speeches we would like to mention the presence of Mr. NGUYEN VAN PHUC, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education and Trainings, the S.R. of Vietnam; Counsellor Natalia Sanginiti from the Italian Embassy in Vietnam; Mr. Pham Hoang Hai, Executive Director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and Ms. Anna Maria Nguyen, Head of Desk Emilia-Romagna/Italy in Binh Duong and Representative of Becamex in Europe.

At meeting participated as well representatives of new stakeholders, as Ha Long University, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, representatives of business community and Vietnamese students.

The main results of the meeting:

-Workshop on labour market and higher education in Vietnam (monitoring enterprise skill needs and internship promotion-WP.5.1.): intensive discussion between academic world representatives with more than 50 participants (mainly enterprises and student community). The Vietnamese Ministry of Higher Education, Italian Embassy, Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, UnionCamere Emilia Romagna as well as to the representatives of other universities not part of Voyage Consortium opened the first day session.

-Focus group with companies-more than 20 companies attended the focus group. The main topic of the focus group was based on the contents of the questionnaire developed by University of Padova and available on line for enterprises (http://websurvey.unipd.it/survey/index.php/542295?lang=en );

-Focus group with students-40 students took part to the focus group.  The main topic of the focus group was  the internship experience and the related best practices to be implemented.

The results of the monitoring activites will be sistematized in a Report on “Skill needs and internship promotion in Vietnam”.

Voyage platform transfer

VOYAGE platform Open to Registration

The VOYAGE platform for matching supply and demand of qualified human resources is  active and open for Students and Company registration!

By registering, students/graduates will be able to assess their university experience, to contribute to the improvement of the quality of their belonging university and to apply online to internship/job offers.

Companies will have access to graduates' CVs certified by universities and will be able to publish online internship/job offers.

Voyage Platform ready for registration of non-graduate students

June 20, 2017: Voyage platform is ready for allowing the enrollment of non-graduate students on the platform. Non-graduate students can register in the platform without the compulsory completion of the questionnaire.

 

The main criterion required to distinguish between graduates (graduating students) and non-graduate students is the indication of the expected year of graduation:  if the year of the degree is less than or equal to the “next year” the compilation is mandatory (graduating students). If not, the student is defined as non-graduate and the registration (and CV generation) can be done without the fill out of the assessment questionnaire. The fill out for these students is postponed to their graduation year.  

 

 

New Student Registration in Voyage Platform!

During the months of February and March 2017, the number of the students registration in the Voyage platform has markedly increased thanks to the dissemination sessions carried out in the partner Universities and the seminars organized with the student for explaining the benefits of registering in the Platform.Registration will continue in the next months.
